Description

Competition in the financial services space has us ‘All Shook Up’. Well, it’s time to embrace the shake up and take action through innovation and strategic planning! The Credit Union League of Connecticut and the Association of Vermont Credit Unions invite credit union management to join us at the 2016 Strategy Symposium in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on September 15-17, 2016.

During this two-day session, nationally-known industry expert, Jay Johnson, will serve as our facilitator, providing an overview of the four highest-potential-impact trends facing financial services in 2017 and beyond. He'll then introduce you to four subject matter experts who will dive deeper into each issue. Attendees will engage at their tables in facilitated, action-oriented dialogue that can be translated into strategies for success.

This conference can be a supplement or replacement for your credit union’s annual strategic planning process.




About our Faciliator - Jay Johnson

Jay is a partner at Callahan & Associates, a respected credit union strategist, and a leading industry voice continuously sought out for his insights. He has more than 22 years of financial industry experience working at top 20 banks and within the credit union industry. Jay’s extensive knowledge and approachable style makes him an outstanding presenter and facilitator. His impactful presentations provide real-world examples of successful strategies, tactics, and programs and deliver a new way of thinking about cooperative benchmarking. Jay’s thought-provoking presentations deliver fresh ideas for creating greater member value, allowing credit union executives to differentiate themselves and placing an emphasis on collaboration among credit unions. Jay also serves as president of Callahan Financial Services, a subsidiary of Callahan & Associates dedicated to expanding credit unions’ investment alternatives. In this role Jay oversees Callahan’s Credit Union Financial Services Limited Partnership (CUFSLP), a multi-owner CUSO that researches credit union business opportunities, and the TRUST for Credit Unions, which supports credit union investments through professionally managed mutual funds.

Conference Fees

The conference registration fee for the first person from each credit union/organization is $469. Additional persons from the same organization are $369 each. Young Professionals (under 35) are $269 each. Guests of registrants are $99 each. All registrations include 2 breakfasts, one lunch and a conference reception. Dinner is on your own at a variety of nearby establishments in beautiful downtown Portsmouth.




Registration Deadline

The last day to register for the conference and to make hotel reservations is Friday, August 19th.
